| The Deer Trail
Studio Tour 1999 took place on Saturday, September 25 and Sunday, September 26th and is held annually. The Deer Trail is a scenic tour in our beautiful district of Algoma that showcases artisans' work at selected studios, homes, lodges and businesses along the Deer Trail. It is presented by the Elliot Lake Arts Club and autumn's colourful panorama serves as a backdrop to the displays that artists and artisans serve along the way. The 14 stops along the tour are: Serpent River Trading Post, L. B. Pearson Centre, Country Depot Garden Centre, South Bay Studios, Mississagi Park, Laurentian Lodge, Wilderness Lodge, Frontier Lodge, Reinhardt Home, Village Inn, Andreas Hug Home, Blind River Marina, Algoma Trading Post, and Timeless Treasures. Special thanks to Cindy Woods, Editor of The Standard, who took the tour and enjoyed "soaking up the scenery in God's Country", for her pictures. Some of her photos were also featured in the The Standard. |
